I had a date.

I picked her up from school.

We played in the park for a couple hours.

She fed the ducks dinner.

We walked, talked and laughed.

Jannah and I carried our date well into the evening.

Together we held our make-believed  mics, sang and danced.

Now, we chat and comb Pink Poney's hair talking about the last weekend that we will spend together before she turns five years old.

What a date!

Weekend Concept - Breathing in life!

It's the weekend and it's beautiful here in GA.  The high will be 91 degrees, but it's not the July 90's so it doesn't feel as hot...yet.  My family and I had breakfast on our front porch this morning and the breeze was wonderful!  I wanted to take a picture, but I decided not to delay this post.  Today is a good day.

As you can tell, I've been working on my blog some to reflect where I am on my journey.  I think I'm liking it but time will tell.  I need to do a few more things.  So, thank you for tolerating me as I go through this process.  It's definitely a work in progress.  In fact, if you have any suggestions or comments about my new look, please feel free to share them.  And don't be shy!

I accept this beautiful life that is given to me daily.  Every breath I take reminds me to be grateful for the next one.

Weekend Concept: Jannah says Hola!

From Progresso, Mexico, Jannah smiles in a sombrero. We had just docked in Progresso and was greeted by the calm waters, beautiful colors and colorful souls. I noticed that Jannah smiled in awe....

At this particular stop, I remember feeling alive. Jannah's smile came through her eyes, her cheeks, her arms, her entire Being. I felt her energy and I think her energy was so strong at this moment because my vibrational frequency had begun to rise.

It's challenging sometimes but we have permission to enjoy every aspect of our lives and how we take advantage of this magnicifent universe is to consume as much of the present moment as we can - deeply feel it - devour it - digest it. It's all about the energy!

Inspired weekend thought from Necessary Room

I am enjoying my weekend doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Just came from Necessary Room reading Se'Lah's ever so funny post about how she will "protect" herself from the "SWINE" flu. Wait, aren't "they" changing the name of it now?

Like Se'Lah, I thought briefly about it and said to myself, "It is what it is." My take on it, if we build up our immune systems by maintaining good eating habits and practice methods to mentally and physically de-stress, we will have the resilience to withstand anything and we have the power to reverse any illness, disease or condition!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! I had the pleasure of staying over my family's house last night. It's been such a long time since I've done this and it was such a cozy feeling to not have to drive home. This morning I woke up to the soothing sound of a train's horn and I can't tell you the memories that surfaced in my mnd from hearing that sound. It reminded me of when I was a little girl.

The light breeze coupled with the sound of the train traveling by helped me to find and appreciate the loud and beautiful sound of silence. Because from silence, I then heard life - the birds chirping and moving. Yes, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

I'm off to a festival with my daughter and nieces. I'm looking forward to a happy time!

Today, J and I are off to a tea party. It is our first. We are excited about it. Actually, I'm more excited than J. Talking about tapping into my inner child... It is a mother and daughter event. We are all to wear dresses and the mothers are to wear hats. We picked out our dresses yesterday and we are ready to go. Oh, and I got my camera ready Se'Lah!
